Over the past few years I have had the responsibility of briefing senior government and scientific leaders both in the US and abroad on the UFO/Extraterrestrial subject. The evidence regarding this subject is clear and overwhelming: It has not been difficult to make a compelling case for the reality of UFOs per se. What is a greater challenge is elucidating the architecture of secrecy related to UFOs (see the exposition of this matter contained in the paper entitled "Unacknowledged" by this author). But the greatest challenge is explaining the ‘why'. Why all the secrecy? Why a ‘black' or unacknowledged government within the government? Why hide the UFO/ET subject from public view? The ‘what' or evidence is complex but manageable. The ‘how' or nature of the secret programs is more difficult, much more complex and Byzantine. But the ‘why' - the reason behind the secrecy'- is the most challenging problem of all. My intent is to establish that the media’s curiously limited coverage of the May 9, 2001 ,National Press Club briefing is highly significant. At that event, nearly two dozen witnesses stepped forward and offered their testimony as to personal knowledge of ET’s and ET-related technologies. These witnesses claimed top secret clearances and military and civilian accomplishments of the highest order. Some brandished uncensored secret documents. The world’s major media were in attendance, yet few reported what they saw, most neglecting to even make skeptical mention. How can this be? Major legal trials are decided based on weaker testimony than was provided that day. Prison sentences are meted out on less. The initial Watergate evidence was less, and the implications of this make Watergate insignificant by comparison. Yet the silence is deafening....

The implications for scientific and technological advancements after open contact with advanced ET civilizations are based on an analysis of a combination of the technologies needed to visit Earth, the willingness of ETs to share knowledge, and multiple reports by contactees on what they observed and what they were told. There is also the problem of the willingness of human groups to share what they have already learned, but have kept suppressed for many decades. These will probably include many of the technologies that ETs have also developed. The five areas of interest covered will be transportation (including anti-gravity), energy production (including over unity devices), communication (including both super-luminal devices and consciousness communication), medical (including cures for human illnesses and resulting life extension), and consciousness (including a better understanding of our spiritual nature). In other words, there will be significant changes in many areas of human endeavor once open acknowledged contact has occurred, and there will be no “going back”.
