Cum Am Descoperit America

By: Florentin Smarandache

A journal of various ideas that may be helpful to those who are looking to emigrate. It gives some helpful ideas on what to expect.

Neutrosophic Interpretation of The Analects of Confucius

By: Florentin Smarandache; Fu Yuhua

“The Analects of Confucius” are considered a record of the words and acts of Confucius and his disciples, as well as the discussions they held. Written during the Spring and Autumn Period through the Warring States Period(475 BC - 221 BC) the Analects is the representative work of Confucianism and continues to have a tremendous influence on Chinese and East Asian thoughts and values today. In neutrosophy, between two ends there are many, sometimes a continuous range of neutralities (degrees of middle, or degrees of synthesis). Each middle (called “neutrality” or “indeterminacy” in neutrosophy) is a k% degree of truth and a (100-k)% degree of falsehood. We have a paradox if the sentence is 100% true, 100% false, and 100% indeterminate....

Negative Part 3 You want to know a person truly, not only to understand this person’s words, but also understand this person’s actions and ideas. Commentary on Negative Part 3 Confucius did not mention to understand people’s ideas. While the words and actions are controlled by the ideas. Neutrosophic Part 3 The person’s time and energy were limited. For knowing a man truly, besides one person’s ability, other person’s help is needed in many cases, sometimes even the machine and the measuring appliance and so on are needed....

Florentin's Laws : If Anything Can Go Wrong, Pass it Onto Someone Else!

By: Florentin Smarandache

Florentin’s Laws are neither Murphy’s (pessimistic) Laws nor Peter’s (optimistic) Laws, but partially pessimistic and partially optimistic, while another part is neutral (ambiguous: neither pessimistic nor optimistic) – as in neutrosophic logic. Therefore, each Florentin’s law includes negatives and positives, unlike Murphy’s law which has only negative attributes, and respectively Peter’s law which has mostly positive attributes or results....

Florentin’s Laws: To hell with Murphy, deviate! 1. If anything can go wrong, pass it on to someone else! 2. When your team wins, it is thanks to you. If the team looses, it is because of others. 3. Get a reason to award your friends, and a pretext to punish your enemies. 4. Even good things have negative side effects. Moreover, negative things have positive side effects. 5. Don’t play by others’ rules. Build your own rules that allow you to win. If you still don’t win, prove the game is useless. 6. If he’s better than you, deny him. If he’s worse than you, praise him....

Preface: If anything can go wrong, pass it on to someone else! Paradoxism Si Post-Modernism : În Creatia Lui

By: Ion Soare

Florentin's Laws : ЗАКОНЫ ФЛОРЕНТИНА

By: Florentin Smarandache; Adolf Shvedchikov, Translator

Florentin’s Laws are neither Murphy’s (pessimistic) Laws nor Peter’s (optimistic) Laws, but partially pessimistic and partially optimistic, while another part is neutral (ambiguous: neither pessimistic nor optimistic) – as in neutrosophic logic. Therefore, each Florentin’s law includes negatives and positives, unlike Murphy’s law which has only negative attributes, and respectively Peter’s law which has mostly positive attributes or results....

Starting from the 1980 Paradoxism’s Laws: 1. All is possible, the impossible too! 2. Nothing is perfect, not even the perfect! 3. Everything is bad, the good included – and reciprocally; 4. The sense has a non-sense, and the nonsense a sense; 5. Anything has a value and a non-value; a new series of laws emerged in 1986-1989....

Florentin' Cliches : The Dictator Lifts the State of Emergency with a Crane

By: Florentin Smarandache

The Florentin's Cliché should be constructed as follows: - Change the figurative language [figure of speech] of a cliché to a literal language; - Or distort the clichés, make them abnormal, deviate their common sense by simple substitutions of words; - Or eliminate some words from a cliché, or switch the verbs between assertion and negation, in order to give the cliché a surprising new significance: - Or consider a chain of (more or less) contradictory clichés and put together with a unitary semantics; - Or juxtapose a cliché with a … (partial or total) contradictory syntagma! And as a whole the Florentin’s Cliché should be bended with humor. ...

51. To be in the right place at the left time! 52. The German language you learn it’s Greek to me 53. This dirty and shaded homeless saved me like a knight in shinning armor 54. In cold blood but hot under the collar he throws cold water on her to getting hot 55. Do not step on his toes, but on his shoes. 56. I don’t like you. Nice to see you! 57. The director jumped to conclusion from the third floor through the window… ...

Estetica Paradoxismului (Beauty Paradoxism)

By: Titu Popescu; Ion Soare, Editor

"Essayist Performance" This book demonstrates that artistic movement paradox lies founded by Romanian Smarandache far from reflecting a crisis of literature, it reconstructs, in an original and attractive. In this sense - appreciate Titu Popescu - movement is "an extension and formal doctrinal orientation destructionist that decade 70 - 80, has dominated American criticism", its source being in antimetaphyisics Nietzsche and Heidegger, in his critique of Freudian psychological identity....

Titu Popescu fails to distinguish the multicolored and polyphonic concert of Romanian literature, a new movement: movement paradoxist. And not only reveals, but also explains, analyzing its origins and characteristics....

Paradoxism Si Folcor

By: Florentin Smarandache

ACTUALITATEA PARADOXISMULUI Prefață Polemici privind paradoxismul și diverse interviuri vă prezentăm ȋn prima parte a acestei cărți. Ȋn cea de-a doua parte, veți constata actualitatea paradoxismului ȋn FOLCLORUL contemporan. Nimic nu-i perfect, nici chiar perfectul! sau: Nimic nu-i absolut, nici chiar absolutul!

Of course, I now look at us invective of the mob clan and his acolytes (executioners service). With cȃt ȋnjură louder with their new stăpȃni pharma ȋi plȃtesc better. But ȋmi will be pleased to answer them! Provocȃndu me they ȋmi maintain creative verve. Life Strategies Part Three : Theatrical & Non-Novel Strategies

By: Florentin Smarandache

This small book, which is rather a draft, comprises a collection of ideas, viewpoints and methods in various aspects of theater, performance arts, non-novel1 etc. If for no other reason, the ideas listed here at least can stimulate further thoughts and research – for instance, young writers may use these ideas to make his/her drama or novel more enthralling....

• The best functions of the theatre are none! (but the theatre itself); • Fatal attraction theatre; • A personage has a man’s mask taped on his bottom which faces the spectators and “talks” like this; • On a cross is crucified a book, or a lamb, or a pork, other object (crucified with the legs up) [which should symbolize something]; • On stage, place some cosmic objects (for example make visible a part of the Earth, or a Lunar Base, …); • Theatre for deaf and mute people (with their International Sign Language); • Theatre for blind people (only sounds); • The difference between the place where the play is performed and the place where, in fact, it should be played. (Specify in the play: winter instead of summer, in the mountains instead of at the Sea, for example – as in paradoxism) ...

Life Strategies Part Two : Literature

By: Florentin Smarandache

If for nothing else, the (random) sentences listed here at least can stimulate further thoughts and ideas – for instance, young writers and artists may find plenty of interesting ideas for their next literary work (or best-selling novels) in ‘Experimental Literature’ section. In a sense, this book itself is an experimental one. Needless to say, the readers may find that some of these ideas are quite absurd or seemingly outlandish ...

Neutrosophic Interpretation of Tao Te Ching

By: Florentin Smarandache

Our book will update the old Chinese thinking in Tao Te Ching to the modern way of life, where contradictions are accepted and two opposite ideas 'A' and 'nonA' and their neutrality 'neutA' can all three be true at the same time. Firstly, we are willing to point out that 'Tao Te Ching' already has some limitation, because many questions we are interested in cannot be answered within 'Tao Te Ching'. For example, 'Tao Te Ching' basically discussed the matters in China, however considering all possible situations it should matter in foreign countries as well, i.e. the “global village”. This was impossible in Lao Tzu’s time. Secondly, if the original “Tao Te Ching” is regarded as “Positive Tao Te Ching”, its opposite is “Negative Tao Te Ching”, while the intermediate or compound state is “Neutral Tao Te Ching”. Thus, our book presents the way to extend the original “Tao Te Ching” in various neutrosophic interpretations....

Positive (Original) Chapter 1 The Way that can be followed is not the eternal Way. The name that can be called is not the eternal name. The Principle that can be explained is not the eternal Principle. “Nonexistence” is the name of the origin of heaven and earth; “Existence” is the name of creating the myriad things. Therefore, the essence of Principle always can be seen from “Nonexistence”; The operation of Principle always can be seen from “Existence”. These two are profound and from the same origin, while their titles are different. More and more profound, that is the general door to all essences. Negative Chapter 1 The Way that cannot be followed is the Eternal Way. The name that cannot be called is the eternal name. The Principle that cannot be explained is the eternal Principle. ‘Nonexistence’ is not the name of the origin of heaven and earth; ‘Existence’ is not the name of creating the myriad things. Therefore, the essence of Principle cannot ever be seen from ‘Nonexistence’; The operation of Principle cannot ever be seen from ‘Existence’. These two are simple and from the different origins, while their ti...

It was founded by the writer, artist, and scientist Florentin Smarandache in 1980 in Romania, who wanted "artistic broadening the artistic elements and contradictory experiments, particularly in the creation of step, contrary sense."...

Paradoxism's Manifestos and International Folklore

By: Florentin Smarandache

The book is structured in two parts as follows: - in the first part, the theory of paradoxism through its first six published worldwide manifestos (1983, 1984, 1990, 1998, 2002, and 2010 respectively); - in the second part, the paradoxism collected from the international (English, French, Spanish/Arabic, and Romanian) folklore in images and paradoxist situations. ...

A) Folkloric Begining. It was in the years 1980’s when the paradoxist movement started. Together with childhood friends (I use their nicknames, since these are more colorfull: Cost, Geonea, Beca, Bigioc, Piciu, Boros, Covrig ăl mijlociu, Cris, Pilă, Chesa, Grasu, Babanu) in the little parks and restaurants of Bălcești – Vâlcea drinking beer and joking. They did not like to read or write!... They all were non-literators {excepting me and Co(n)st(antin) Dincă}. We built a new literary movement without even knowing – in a paradoxical way! We did it by jokes, against-the-grain speech, amusing themselves in that bad time! I had written in Romanian language the volume „Laws of internal composition. Poems with... problems!” (1982) as a preparadoxist volume, published lately. But the First Paradoxist Manifesto in the world of the Paradoxism I published in 1983 in the first edition of my French volume The Sense of the Nonsense (Ed. Artistiques, Fès, Morocco). ...

Caution : I Drive Like You Do! (Collection of American Paradoxist Folklore)

By: Florentin Smarandache

I have collected this beautiful American Folklore - under the form of aphorisms - from car plates, from various anonymous postings, from expressions heard in my discussions, from e-mails received, etc. Computer jokes, life taken upside-down, job related reflections, family connections, inside-out clichés of language, and so on. They are in a paradoxist style, or close, and full of humor… Some of them are cascading Murphy’s Laws (pessimistically), others are opposite - like Peter’s Laws (optimistically). Their sweetness smiles in the face of adversity, full of irony and auto-irony. I hope readers will enjoy them....

See a few nice examples from the book text: “I think, therefore I’m single”, “Life is short, break some rules”, or “Black Holes are Where God Divided by Zero”!...
