It is a region of significant commercial importance to American business and U.S. companies have operated profitably there for many years. The countries of MENA are moving toward economic and political cooperation and integration and implementing economic reforms. Increasing globalization offers the prospect that opportunities will continue to grow and Americans will continue to prosper in the region.
