War and Peace is a British drama television series that is set to first broadcast on BBC One in 2015. The six-part adaptation of War and Peace by the Russian author Leo Tolstoy was written by Andrew Davies and directed by Tom Harper.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

Production

The series was announced by Andrew Davies, Simon Vaughan and Harvey Weinstein.[9] The director is Tom Harper.[10]

The drama will consist of six 60-minute episodes for BBC One and eight 45-minute episodes for international markets.[11] The airing on the BBC will be in late 2015, and in U.S. it will air in 2016 and will be simulcast across three networks: A&E, Lifetime, and History Channel.[12][13]
