Agamee Prakashani (Bengali: আগামী প্রকাশনী), based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, is a Publishing house. It was established in 1986 by Osman Gani.It has published more than 1600 title books till February 2013. This publication house is renowned for publishing largest number of title book based on 1971 liberation war of Bangladesh. The slogan of this organization is "Moktijodhu o Muktochinta Amader Prokasona".

Publication

Agamee Prakashani has a long history of being the 'launch pad' of many authors who are established today.It has published books from writers including Ahmed Sharif, Professor Kabir Chowdhury, Anisuzzaman, Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury, Zillur Rahaman Siddiqui, Sanjida Khatun, Humayun Azad, M. Anwar Hossain, Major General K.M Shafiullah (Bir-Uttam), H.T. Imam, Selina Hossain, Farhad Mazhar, Mansur Musa, Syed Anwar Hossain, Monayem Sarkar, Monjure Mawla, Anowara Sayed Haq, Salimullah Khan, Dr.Mohammad Hannan, Hasnat Abdul Hye, Rabeya Khatun Kamal Lohani, Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Prime minister Sheikh Hasina, Jahanara Imam, Muhammad Habibur Rahaman, Sayeda Sazeda Chowdhury, Begum Matiya Chowdhury, Abul Maal Abdul Muhit, Nurul Islam Nahid, Nuh-ul Alam Lenin, Rashed Khan Menon, Shawkat Osman and many more. It has one of the largest publication of liberation war books in Bangladesh.Agamee Prakashani published most of the books of Humayun Azad. It has started to publish Taslima Nasrin's book from 2011.

Osman Gani is a founder and CEO of Agamee Prakashani.He is also a freedom fighter of 1971 Liberation War of Bangladesh. He is one of the director of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI), Co-chairman of FBCCI Standing Committee on Intellectual Property Rights & FBCCI Standing Committee on SMEs and also a member of different organizations. He has been actively contributing to the Book Development activities of Bangladesh. Recently he is elected as a President of the Academic & Creative Publishers Association of Bangladesh (Bangladesh Gayan O Srijonshil Prakashak Samity ).

Participation

Agamee Prakashani has participated in the Ekusey Book Fair since 1986, the largest national book fair in the country organized by Bangla Academy. It also participate in the International Book Fair held in Kolkata, International Bangla Festival & Book Fair in New York, USA and many local book fairs.


Achievement

Agamee Prakashani earned Bangla Academy Book Fair Prize (Best Stall),Shahid Munir Choudhary Awrad for published highest number of quality books in 2012, National Book Center Prize, Agrani Bank Sahitya Puraskar and many more.
