Abstract The question whether to ordain women or not threatens the fabric of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The anti and the pro-ordination argument hinge on scripture, the only source of authority for the Remnant Church. This paper has made a critical observation of the arguments and concludes that neither of the camps is right. It has made a brief excursus into the backdrop that may have influenced the prohibitions and observed that it (the backdrop) may not certify the prohibitions to be eternal interdiction on women participation in ministry. The study realizes that the seeming interdictions are statements aimed at setting the church in order haustafeln to defocus believers from their individual self in order to refocus them to their divine calling as colabourers with Paul in Christ. Because the NT seems quiet on the issue whether to, or not to ordain women, and because the texts used for or against seem to be read either at an apparent level, or applied without a keen regard to the contexts, this paper suggests further study of the verses that form the backbone of arguments before any action is taken by the world church. ...

At the first God made the heaven and the earth. And the earth was waste and without form; and it was dark on the face of the deep: and the Spirit of God was moving on the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God, looking on the light, saw that it was good: and God made a division between the light and the dark, Naming the light, Day, and the dark, Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day....

Have you ever wondered 'Who am I?' in all this that happens and is happening in this life? Who are you, really? Are you really this body-mind complex. Knowing who you really are is Self realization. Self realization helps one become free from the problems of the mind and the body in daily life....
If one has attained eternal bliss, and when the worldly pains do not affect him, then he has become free. Permanent bliss (param anand), is verily called liberation (moksha). What is the use of any other liberation? We want happiness. Do you like happiness or not? Tell me that. Questioner: All the struggles are for that only. Dadashri: Yes, you do not like that temporary happiness. Unhappiness (pain) follows this temporary happiness (pleasure); that is why one does not like it. If the happiness is permanent then unhappiness does not follow. One needs such happiness. When one attains such happiness; that is called moksha. What is the meaning of liberation? It is when one remains unaffected by any worldly pains; that verily is called liberation. Otherwise no one will remain unaffected by unhappiness....
Every religion has its story - oral or written. CS Tapu searches the story above and beyond any particular religion - the very quest for Being. A quintessential religious book, these original Teachings are the fruit of millennia of religious thought and practice. While some present or future believers (or religious leaders) might not agree with all of them, the Teachings will surely provide valuable insight for the spiritual beings of believers and non-believers alike. "Tapu is a pioneer that generations will follow." --Dr. Lisa Christiansen...

I used the image of Paul Simon's "Dangling Conversation". This expresses the way we so often fail to meet each other or God. Clare, by her openness, came to know God and in her spiritual friendship brought others into that space where they could find God and themselves. A new conversation was opened up between God and the broken....
People often debate whether there is a God. This to-the-point essay delves into an even more important topic: Why you should love God. It includes five compelling reasons (1. It's what you were made for, 2. You need it, 3. He loves you, 4. He is worth it and you can trust him, and 5. You will regret that you didn't) as well as a sixth section on ways to get to know God, as well as a list of resources....
Does God exist? It is a question every person is faced with. However, the real question is not whether God is. Even the devil knows that God exists. The question that matters is not, “Do I believe in God?” but “Do I love Him?” The following pages lay out several reasons why everyone should love him. Knowing the love of God - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit - and loving our fellow human beings through that love, is what every person was made for. It is what you were made for. It is your birthright and your destiny. Whatever you believe now, you deserve to know this truth, even if it is a truth that is often ridiculed, buried, and ignored. Christ suffered, died and rose again so that we might know the truth and he instituted the Catholic Church as the place where the truth is to be found. ...

The Genesis has been a mystery for thousands of years. No one had been able to understand what the text spoke about, whether it was just an introductory poem to the Holy Scriptures, or it actually contained information about the Creation. The text of Genesis divided the waters of creationists and scientistics long until today. With this book I hope to dilute this separation between scientistics and creationists since I have discovered the key that unifies both worlds. I think the key to the mystery of Genesis is to understand that it is narrated by someone. A narrator of Genesis. Someone who observes the vision God gives him and from there he tells what he observes and he observes it from his human and earthly location. This earthly and accurate location is the key to understanding Genesis....
It was clear to me that the Genesis story was real; they were facts that could have happened but were somehow masked. What was the key? What was the Rosetta stone that would allow me to interpret the narrative? The key, I discovered, was that the story -the text- was a narrative of someone who was telling what he was seeing. That was the key -the board, so to speak- on which I had to assemble the pieces of this puzzle. In the text of Creation there was an observer, a narrator. They were not just verses, no, it was clear that it was a narration: the narration of an observer. By introducing this variable, the narrator-observer, all made sense. From then on the rest was just a case of looking for the right questions: Was it a vision or a revelation? Or both? How long did the vision take? Who was he? Where did he live? What was his location? The location, the location was crucial. The observer and its location were the cornerstones for understanding the story of Creation. This book describes the journey I had to make from the Bible to science in a permanent back and forth until I managed to unravel the mystery. I encou...

This is a short account of what I saw in New Orleans just a month after hurricane Katrina hit and the work God is doing there. It is what you didn't hear in the news about how the church responded to the disaster and how God has been using it to draw people to himself....
Once we got there I was tired, and I started to lose focus. I started to ask myself the question “why did I even come here? What is the purpose? How will what I’m doing here make any difference? Is this the worst of the damage there is? What am I doing here?” That night the pastor gave a speech that put everything back into focus for me. He talked about the disaster in Indonesia and the work that God is doing there. He talked about how Muslim leaders were telling people not to pay any attention to those Christians that were helping them and how they were saying “what are you talking about, the only people who are helping us are the Christians and the American soldiers.” He talked about how God was working in New Orleans and how he wanted to build “a new, New Orleans.” He talked about how people’s lives were being changed because they realized that they were being helped by Christians. He talked about how people are saying “all my life I thought that Christians were hypocrites, but now I’m starting to think differently.” He told us story after story of conversion and renewal; and he said “I have been praying all my life that one day ...

A small book that covers every sloka related to gems and its interpretation.
I believe that only ‘Ratnas’ defined in classics should carry “Swapranavastha” (Self invoked state) and rest of the gemstones are just stones. To energize them one needs proper mantras to invoke their powers which are positioned in dormant condition. This is the same as Idols of Deities need to be “Pranpratishtith” before they are worshipped. But Shalagrams and Dakshinavarti Shankas have their own powers and they are never invoked through Mantras....
