The Seasons of Our Lives: How they Alternate from Good to Bad and Vice-Versa

By: George Pan Kouloukis

The moment that you have finished reading this book, you will be able to know whether the years just ahead are good or bad for you, and how long this season will last. You will be able thus to act accordingly: if there is a storm on the horizon, you will be able to take shelter in time; if sunny days loom ahead, you will take advantage before the opportunity pass. The seasons of our lives alternate from good to bad ones - and vise versa - according to a certain pattern, which George Kouloukis, a Greek attorney-at-law, explains in this book, based on the way the good and bad seasons have alternated in the lives of lots of famous men and women, whose the biographies he cites in the book. This knowledge radically transforms the way we all live today, and helps us to live a much better life....

From GEPAN to SEPRA : Official UFO Studies in France

By: Gildas Bourdais

The Cometa report is a private initiative, though its style and contents give it an official look, and several members of Cometa have held (and some still hold) important posts in defense, science, and industry. At any rate, one effect of this document has been to renew interest in the official government research on UFOs in France....

Understanding UFO Secrecy

By: Steven M. Greer

Over the past few years I have had the responsibility of briefing senior government and scientific leaders both in the US and abroad on the UFO/Extraterrestrial subject. The evidence regarding this subject is clear and overwhelming: It has not been difficult to make a compelling case for the reality of UFOs per se. What is a greater challenge is elucidating the architecture of secrecy related to UFOs (see the exposition of this matter contained in the paper entitled "Unacknowledged" by this author). But the greatest challenge is explaining the ‘why'. Why all the secrecy? Why a ‘black' or unacknowledged government within the government? Why hide the UFO/ET subject from public view? The ‘what' or evidence is complex but manageable. The ‘how' or nature of the secret programs is more difficult, much more complex and Byzantine. But the ‘why' - the reason behind the secrecy'- is the most challenging problem of all. There is not a single answer to this question, but rather numerous inter-related reasons for such extraordinary secrecy. Our investigations and interviews with dozens of top - secret witnesses who have been within such programs...

Exopolitics or Xenopolitics?

By: Steven M. Greer

There is no way to assess an ET agenda without first grasping the covert human agenda. We cannot discern what is real and what is Memorex – what is ET and what is pseudo-ET disinformation, unless we penetrate the halls of smoke and mirrors that is the vast shadow government’s propaganda machine....

Veneta Serenissima Repubblica : Storia ed Istituzioni: Storia ed Istituzioni

By: Edoardo Rubini

In the sixteenth century the N.H. Marin Sanudo said that the Venetian Republic would last forever, forever and ever. His opinion was not isolated, but a widespread belief. Even this shows how our fathers were distant from the common mentality of today. Who would ever say, these days, that a state will last forever? La Serenissima lasted fourteen centuries, but the self-government of the Venetian people since time immemorial. The objective fact is impressive. Even more striking the reason for the sealing of our institutions: the love of country. In this world no longer seems to really believe in the common good. The maximum they seek good people is to live honestly. At the time of St. Mark, however, rulers and lived in the common good and the size of the state. Everyone believed in institutions and there were the same....

Principles of Anarchism

By: Tim Parise

Taking an unusual approach to its topic, “Principles of Anarchism” applies classical logic and deductive reasoning to the subject of human interactions and rights. Beginning with the assumption that all human beings are equal, a concept which is termed the human equality axiom, the author goes on to draw a number of conclusions from this postulate in the manner of a Euclidean proof. These include the surprising contention that no such thing as human rights can exist, the assertion that anarchism is essentially intellectual rather than activist, and the uncomfortable suggestion that historical developments such as cities and industries are harmful to the human race rather than helpful. More centrally, though, the pamphlet argues very simply that any form of authority or government is logically incompatible with the existence of humanity. And it is the implications of this theory, rejection of which requires rejection of the equality axiom as well, which make the argument offered both novel and exceptionally relevant....

Anarchist Apartheid : The Weltanschauung of Indian Unipluralism

By: Balasundaram Subramanian, Ph.D.

“The genius of Indian social life lies in living together separately.” Humayun Kabir (at the inaugural of IIT Madras, 1959). This essay seeks to highlight segregation as the keynote of traditional Indian life and caste as the key to the evolution of segregation. Caste in India could, over the centuries, unfold a truly pluralist polity, though each caste in itself was quite monolithic. The coexistence without coalescence of numerous castes could facilitate a polycentric social order in which power was diffused in the local communities. ...

“Contraries of belief and diversities of religion…are in fact part of the scheme of Providence; for as a painter gives beauty to a picture by a variety of colours, or as a gardener embellishes his garden with flowers of every hue, so God has appointed to every tribe its own faith, and every sect its own religion that man might glorify him in diverse modes, all having the same end and being equally acceptable in his spirit.” [Statement made by the learned Brahmin pundits and recorded by the Rev. C.T.E. Rhenius in the ‘Preface to the Code of Hindu Laws’ commissioned by Warren Hastings] “The genius of Indian social life lies in living together separately.” Humayun Kabir (at the inaugural of IIT Madras, 1959). ...

Bad Law, A Novel

By: William McGrane

"Hard cases, it is said, make bad law. But they can also make good novels, and William McGrane has done so with a gripping tale of the seamy side of law practice; replete with ethical crises and missteps; heartless firm politics; and the brutal, fragile road to success. The story may make you uncomfortable because the fiction is only a disguise for reality, a reality many of us have faced. But, fiction or fact, Mr. McGrane’s crisply written, insightful and unyielding novel holds you until its conclusion—and even then it stays with you." Jerome Shestack, Esq., former United States Ambassador to the United Nations Commission on Human Rights, Past President of the American Bar Association, and 2006 winner of the American Bar Association Medal. "Wonderful book. I tried to persuade my wife, Kim, that some of the Bad Law stories were fictional, but she didn't believe me." Richard Plumridge, Esq., former senior partner at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison, LLP. "William McGrane takes us on a disturbing ride through the underbelly of big-city law practice, along with a cast of characters much too close for comfort to the real thing." ...

Introduction to SolidWorks : Second Edition

By: Mario H. Castro-Cedeno

In this book the author teaches how to use of SolidWorks as a tool for developing and presenting engineering ideas and concepts. In addition to teaching the basics of SolidWorks, he shares his experience related to how these tools are used in an engineering organization. Many introductory CAD tutorials focus only on the software and train students to be skilled CAD operators. This book also places equal emphasis on creating engineering drawings that comply with accepted design standards. Engineering drawings are the most important means of communication between the design and manufacturing functions. They are also necessary for the maintenance and repair of consumer and industrial product as varied as automobiles, airplanes, earth moving equipment and cruise ships. Lastly, engineering drawings are legal documents and commonly used to determine and apportion fault in product liability lawsuits. Every engineering and manufacturing professional must be proficient at creating, understanding and using engineering drawings. The second edition updates the book to the latest version of SolidWorks (2014)....

The reason for writing another “Introduction to SolidWorks” book is to emphasize the role and importance of computer aided design (CAD) and engineering drawings in communicating design ideas. The old adage “a picture is worth a thousand words” is true in mechanical engineering design. Sometimes it is impossible to describe a complex design in words and we must use engineering drawings. ...

The book is divided into the following five sections: 1. Introducing and Customizing SolidWorks 2. Modeling Simple Parts 3. Modeling Complex Parts 4. Modeling Assemblies 5. Creating Engineering Drawings...

Why was that Tree in the Garden, Anyway? : Volume Revision 1

By: Joseph Stanley Robertson

Why was that tree in the garden, anyway? Stan Robertson spent his adult life trying to understand what the Bible really was saying. He decided to approach the subject with an open mind and let the Bible itself tell him rather than depending on what tradition says that it means. His book reaches unorthodox conclusions based on well developed and thoroughly justified analyses. His understanding helps reconcile many of the disconnects in traditional views. For instance, how is it that the Lord God of the Old Testament is harsh, demanding, violent, unforgiving, jealous, and destructive while the God of the New Testament is Love? This book develops the idea that each person is a duality of Spirit and flesh, and relates this to scripture. The Spiritual man and the carnal man are separated and the carnal man is subject to the Law while the Spiritual man cannot sin. ...

We Christians, as long as we feel that we must keep the Ten Commandments, are shut out of knowing the benefits of grace. Keeping the law demands all of man’s attention leaving no time for anything else. This maintains the veil over our hearts. “The letter kills but the Spirit gives life” (2 Corinthians 3:6). Even though Paul repeatedly says that we are not under the Law, we feel guilty. Guilt steals our freedom and our knowing the benefits of grace and the Divine Love that comes with it. The Commandments give opportunity for the false accuser to accuse us falsely. Then we accept the false accusation of sin and guilt. From that point on, it is our own conscience that condemns us, and thus, our own thought-power is used against our own selves. The result is depression or sickness or a feeling of being empty, useless. This latter result prevents our praying. We cannot follow both the Law and the Spirit. We cannot serve two masters....
