Excerpt: As is customary each June, the estimates of U.S. international transactions have been revised to incorporate methodological and statistical revisions. This year, like last year, a number of improvements have been implemented as part of continuing efforts by the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) to address gaps in coverage of the transactions. In large part, the gaps have arisen because of the dynamic nature of international markets. The major improvements this year respond to rapid changes in both the capital markets and services markets.
