Description
A historical Drama of Kerala, A Restitution of Mahabali, a great king of central part of Kerala. His period of ruling was considered as a golden one to Keralites. As he was an Asura king, (A Dravidian king), he was sent to the underworld by Vamana a Bhrahmin yogi. On his request , Mahabali was allowed to visit Kerala every year on thiruvonam days of Chiga masam (August) to confirm his people's well being. This was how ONAM celebration came into practice in Kerala, India.
