Billie Jean King defeated Chris Evert 6–0, 7–5 in the final to win the Ladies' Singles tennis title at the 1973 Wimbledon Championships. Martina Navratilova appeared in the main singles draw of Wimbledon for the first time, the first of 22 consecutive appearances at the championships.
